Tonight we made some fun little name blocks out of kids building blocks. It would have been cheaper to make them out of a hunk of wood, and put some elbow grease into cutting and sanding them. Me... I was in a hurry as I need them tomorrow for a photo shoot. :)

Hard to read due to the light color of the papers. Hoping they'll show up in professional pictures tomorrow.

Here's how I made them:
- Kids building blocks
- Glossy Mod Podge
- Acrylic Paint in White and Tan
- Sponge Paint Brushes
- Necessary snack of Gummy Worms :D
(Please excuse the messy workspace... I was in a rush, and didn't slow to move messes for pictures)
First I painted the blocks quickly with the acrylic paint. I did a quick job because I didn't want them fully covered, I wanted the grain to show through from the wood and wanted brush strokes to show.
I cut my squares just shy of the size of the blocks, and covered the front of the block with Mod Podge.
Press the paper firmly in place, and then add another layer of Mod Podge. Allow to dry.
After the first layer of Mod Podge was dry on the front of the block, I went over the whole thing with another layer to seal it completely. I left the bottoms undone, and will do that once the Mod Podge cures on the other five sides. They kept sticking to everything otherwise.
The final step was to place the punch out letters on with a pop dot. Easy Peasy!
